• When used consistently and correctly, male condoms are very effective STD protection. A new condom must be used each time.
• A female condom is a pouch that a woman inserts into her vagina. They are latex-free, and a new one must be used each time. When used consistently and correctly, female condoms are very effective at preventing STDs

Types of condoms:

• Spermicide – Contain sperm-killing lube. Good for vaginal intercourse, but not recommended for oral or anal sex.
• Spermicide-Free – Some folks are allergic to spermicides. These have none.
• Latex – Latex is strong and very common. DON’T use them with oil-based lube or risk breakage or slipping.
• Non-Latex – Some folks are allergic to latex or they prefer to use oil-based lube. These are good for these folks, especially! Polyurethane type are even stronger than latex.
